Course Description
The ATHE Level 7 Extended Diploma in Computing Technologies is a 120 credit Ofqual regulated qualification. It provides the core knowledge, understanding and skills to support learners planning to further their studies and careers in the field of computing technologies.
The qualification has been developed in collaboration with subject experts, colleges, higher education institutions and businesses to ensure the qualification meets their needs.
The different pathways allow learners to study a more general (non-specified) programme or specialise in particular fields of study as listed below. All pathways have the same credit value and recognised globally by all universities and the evaluating agencies.
Who is it for ?
- IT professionals who are passionate to apply for Canadian Immigration but lacking the points by having ECA as one Bachelor’s degree only.

- Individuals having a 2 years bachelor degree in any discipline and want to apply for study abroad in UK, Australia, and Europe for an IT related Master’s degree.
Canadian Equivalence
- “One Year Postgraduate Diploma” equivalence by WES (World Education Services), IQAS and all evaluating bodies in Canada.
- This diploma gives 33 extra points for Canadian immigration if the applicant is already having a three or four year bachelor degree.

Awarding Institution
OTHM Level 6 Diploma is delivered by CGL through CGL Graduate School and awarded by ATHE.

Assessment
- This course is assessed through 100% coursework with a range of methods, such as essays, research reports, presentations, group work and practical reports.
- The submitted assignments would be graded as PASS, MERITor DISTINCTION.
Entry Requirements
To apply for this qualification applicant should meet one of the following entry requirement:
- Level 6 Diploma in any Discipline.
- Four year Bachelor’s degree or a 3 years Bachelor degree in any discipline.
- Applicants over 21 years of age having a relevant work experience can also apply, as a mature learner, without having any formal qualification.
- We welcome applications from international students. If your first language is not English you will be expected to have overall IELTS 6 (with at least 5.5 in each component). You may be exempt from providing evidence of English language proficiency if you have gained your previous qualification from an English Speaking university or awarding body.
- All applications are considered on an individual basis. Applicants may be
invited to an interview, either on campus at CGL or online, as part of the application process.

- Successful graduates of ATHE Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management can get a direct entry into the dissertation based final trimester of MBA from Anglia Ruskin University or other partner universities in UK; which would be studied via distance learning.
- Successful diploma graduates can complete the MBA Top-up from Anglia Ruskin University in 5 months as minimum after getting the exemptions of first 2 trimesters.
